Joseph's coat of many colours

Genesis 37: 3: Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

Joseph was a type of Christ whom the Father loved more than all the brothers (the Jews). As an expression of Israel’s love for Joseph, he made him a coat of many colours.

Genesis 37: 31 - 33: And they took Joseph’s coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood; And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no. And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.

The brothers conspired against Joseph and sold him to the Midianites whilst fabricating a story to their father of Joseph’s disappearance by saying that Joseph had been killed by a wild beast; this story was furnished with the torn coat dipped in the blood of a kid (a young goat).

This conspiracy was a shadow of the seven church ages, for the seven-coloured coat covered in blood represented the elect Gentiles of seven church ages who were covered by Christ’s blood that was shed for their redemption. This seven-coloured coat was later brought back to Jacob who recognized that it belonged to Joseph, just as Israel (whom Jacob represents) will receive and recognize the bleeding Word that came to them 2000 years ago (the 144,000 Jews will recognize this via the ministry of the two Jewish prophets in Revelation 11: 3).

The brothers said to their father that some wild beast was responsible for the death of Joseph, just as the Jews’ false accusations against Jesus caused Rome (the Beast in the Book of Revelation) to shed His blood by crucifixion, shifting the blame from themselves to a foreign power.
